We are Cal Berkeley’s first cohort in the Master’s of Development Engineering program. We’re 47 students who come from all over the world with 0-30 years experience in resource management, economics, policy, computer science, engineering, and more. Read more about us here.

What is Development Engineering?

Development engineers work to address problems with sustainable, right-sized, technically innovative, ecologically holistic processes. It’s transdisciplinary work based in cultural, social, and technological fluency.
